Once you've returned home your lawyers will progress the purchase of your chosen property, undertaking all of the necessary checks and making any scheduled payments to the developer. They will keep you updated on progress, open a bank account for you and apply for NIE's for each of the buyers as well as organising connection of any utilities at completion. There may well be an opportunity for you to return to meet with the builder and choose fixtures & fittings for your property - we'll keep you up to date on these and all other key dates and as completion approaches we'll undertake checks and snagging as required. Once completion has taken place, your lawyers hold your keys in readiness for your return to Spain, at which point we'll meet you to pass over the keys and visit the property with you. Once that's done, it's time to celebrate and begin your new life in Spain!
